Trimethyl Phosphonoacetate is involved in the Horner-Wadsworth-Emmons olefination with aldehydes and ketones to give acrylic esters. Trimethyl Phosphonoacetate is also involved in oxa-Michael reactions, prenylation of oxindoles and heterocyclization reactions.
