Salicylic Acid (CAS: 69-72-7) is an important organic synthetic raw material, widely used in medicine, pesticides, dyes, rubber, food and perfumes. Chiefly it is used to manufacture the medicine of fever-allaying and analgesic for fever, direct dyestuff, insecticide and absorbent of ultraviolet ray. Salicylic Acid is a disinfector and antiseptic, also can be used as intermediates of medicine, pesticide, dyestuff, widely used manufacturing aspirin, glyburide, diflunisal, sodium salicylate, optunal, etc. Salicylic Acid is an FDA approved skin care ingredient used for the topical treatment of acne, and it's the only beta hydroxy acid (BHA) used in skin care products. Perfect for oily skin, salicylic acid is best known for its ability to deep clean excess oil out of pores and reduce oil production moving forward.
1. Standards for alkalimetry and iodometric titration. Fluorescent indicator, complex indicator.
2. This product is used as an anti-scorch agent in the rubber industry and in the production of ultraviolet absorbers and foaming agents.
3. Used as a coordination indicator and masking agent. Color developer and preservative for titanium, zirconium, and tungsten plasma.
4. Salicylic acid is used as an additive in some weakly acidic electrolytes, and can also be used as a complexing agent for electroplating or electroless plating.
