The addition of 1,3-PS to battery electrolytes improves the compactness of the passivation film formed on the surface of the negative electrode during charge and discharge. This additive also prevents metal dissolution and suppression and electrolyte oxidation, which in turn increases life cycle and stability. It can also be used in lithium secondary batteries to enhance the cycle number and service life of batteries. 1,3-PS is a new functional fine chemical material, it is used in tanning, ink and sensitizing dye synthesis; It is an excellent general-purpose sulfonating agent; It is an important pharmaceutical intermediate; It is used in brighteners, dyes, dual ion surfactants; Synthesize key raw materials for important electroplating additive intermediates such as PPS, UPS, DPS, MPS, ZPS, POPS, SP and so on. 1,3-PS is used as a chemical intermediate to introduce sulfopropyl groups into molecules and to confer water solubility and anionic character.
