Cefotiam Dihydrochloride is a cephalosporin antibiotic that has a broad spectrum. Cefotetan Hydrochloride is a second-generation cephalosporin that is active against some strains of β-lactamase producing bacteria. It shows anti-microbial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria; it is more efficacious against Gram-negative and anaerobic bacteria. Cefotetan Hydrochloride binds to penicillin-binding proteins and disrupts the cell wall synthesis. This product is a semisynthetic cephalosporin used as an antibiotic medicine.
