L-Norleucine (H-Nle-OH) (CAS: 327-57-1), is an isomer of leucine. A non-proteinogenic L-alpha-amino acid comprising hexanoic acid carrying an amino group at C-2. It does not occur naturally. As a non-essential amino acid, L-Norleucine can be used as internal standard in amino acid analysis. Unusual amino acids, used in peptide synthesis, organic synthesis intermediates, pharmaceutical intermediates, biochemical reagents, chemical reagents.   

Overview: Unnatural amino acids are the core intermediates of many drugs, especially new drugs in the past 10 years. The production processes of unnatural amino acids such as L-n-leucine mainly include asymmetric synthesis, chemical resolution and biological enzyme catalysis.
