H-Tle-OH, L-tert-Leucine (CAS 20859-02-3) is an essential amino acid making up one third of our muscle protein. L-tert-leucine is important in developing chiral pharmaceutically active chemicals. It can also be used for the production of Chiral tridentate Schiff base ligands. It is a nonproteogen chiral amino acid. Because of the high steric hindrance of tert-butyl group, the derivatives of tert-leucine can be used as templates to induce asymmetry in asymmetric synthesis.  Because of the large tert-butyl chain and its hydrophobicity, it can well control the molecular conformation in the synthesis of polypeptides, and increase the hydrophobicity of polypeptides and the stability of enzymatic degradation.  Our company produces L-tert-leucine by enzymatic process, the reaction conditions are mild, not easy to cause environmental pollution. It can be used as a Nutritional Supplements, Food and Feed Additives; it can be used for synthetic Anti-AIDs drugs (Atazanavir Sulfate) and Anti-HCV drugs (Telaprevir) and etc. L-tert-Leucine (CAS 20859-02-3) also can be used in the peptide synthesis.
