Applications: As fertilizer, herbicides and pesticides in agriculture. Feed grade used as nutritional supplements, raw material for synthesis of hemoglobin. Used in the manufacture of iron salts, ink, iron oxide red and indigo, mordant, water purifier, tanning agent, wood preservative and disinfectant, photoengraving, etc. Used as a local convergence agent and hematinic in medicine. Used for sewage treatment in the environmental protection industry, used as flocculating agent, reducing agent, precipitation agent. Used in Nutritional Supplement. Together with other iron compounds, Ferrous Sulfate Heptahydrate is used to fortify foods and treat iron deficiency anemia. Ferrous Sulfate Heptahydrate is used in Water Treatment. Ferrous sulfate has been applied for the purification of water by flocculation and for phosphate removal in municipal and industrial sewage treatment plants to prevent eutrophication of surface water bodies. As analytical reagent; as raw material for ferrite; raw material to produce magnetic iron oxide, iron(III) oxide and iron blue inorganic pigment, iron catalyst and poly iron sulfate; as chromatographic reagent.
