3-(Dimethylamino)propylamine (DMAPA) (CAS: 109-55-7) has good surfactant properties and can be used as an emulsifier and surfactant. DMAPA is an organic raw material intermediate, which is used to prepare dyes and ion exchange resins. Used as epoxy resin curing agent, oil and non cyanide zinc additive, fiber and leather treatment agent and fungicide. It is also a useful hardening agent for expoxy resin.
DMAPA is an aliphatic amine present in amphoteric surfactants such as liquid soaps and shampoos.
DMAPA is also used as a curing agent for epoxy res ins and as an organic intermediate in chemical syntheses (ion exchangers, additives for flocculants, cosmetics and fuel additives, dyes and pesticides).
